Okay a few weeks ago I got a custom built computer.  So far the power supply failed :evil:  
:evil:  the onbord 7.1 sound card didn't work.
though I only have 5.1(only...).
So today I went and got a sblive card at an anime/pc repair shop :rolleyes: . now three hours later after stupidly uninstalling/installing the drivers wrong and a system restore just to hear anything I'm at 4.1.   For the record I have a ZNF3 250 mobo

....I kind of forget what my main point was so I'll just say I hate chaintech and  PSU(s) from unknown companys suck :rolleyes:

Ya, first a buy brand name PSU.  It powers everything in a PC, so buying a cheap one is a good way to ruin your day and your PC.

BTW, how many jacks are there on the back of your SBLive?  The old ones can only have 4.

You have the new one which should support 5.1.  BTW, that's a joystick port.  ;)

Well, either check the jacks or check Creative's sound mixer app.  I believe that their speaker setup overrides the windows control panel setting.
