Quake II

Possibly one of the best sequels other than DOOM II...it made the first Quake look as primitive as primordial soup!  id Software was always good at improving on their games.
Who's a Quake II fan? I am!  *waves hand*

Im more of a Quake 1 fan really. I'd love there to be a Quake 1 mod for Doom3 :)

Out of all games I own Quake 2 is the one I have played through the most. I pick it up every now and then just to experience the horrors of Strogos once again. The last time was about two months ago - I played both Q2 & MP1 on hard but then got stuck in the middle of MP2 and got pissed off.

The original Quake 2 is better than Quake but when it comes to usermade stuff I prefer Quake over its 'sequel' any time. I have never enjoyed Q2 usermaps as much as Q usermaps.

Q2 is a bit better than Q1, but as Mikko said, Q1 mods and maps kill Q2. Also I like gothic atmosphere over hi tech ...

I don't remember much of Quake2: I played a few maps over at a friends place but that's it. But it looked like a solid shooter. I'll see if I can buy it somewhere in the near future. :)

I have played the entire version of Quake1 and to be honest I don't like the game that much. Shamblers are really cool enemies though.

It would be really awesome if someone took the stuff from Quake 1 and put it in Quake 2...graphics and such.  *hint hint*

I did like the enemies from Quake 1 better.  I hate the Strogg with a vengeance.  The worst ones are dudes with railguns, the Tanks and Tank Commanders, those parasite things that suck out your life (they remind me of lawyers), and those shielded robot thingies that look like an engine block on top of a GI-Joe.  I love the secret id Software developers area in the final level.  The coolest one is the one that shoots gibs out of its mouth.  :biggrin2:

Eralp ! You know what ? In Quake 2 all boxes are marked with one strange sign. I assume it is a Stroggos logo. If yes then I saw such logo on some boxes in Quake 1 :)

Quakis: I believe someone remade the Shambler in Doom3. Don't where I saw it exactly but it looked quite kick-ass :)
