Release: U1SP - Alien Level 3
« on: June 20, 2005, 10:32:01 PM »
Hello.

I'm not sure if anyone is still interested in classic unreal, but here's my next and (probably) final map for unreal1. :)

Alien Level 3

Past ones are here:
Alien Level 1
Alien Level 2

Reviews of those are here, on AMC in unreal section. Alien Level 3 is a little bit diffrent - still scary, but with a ghost theme. Map is 2 years late ;0 (I could find enough strong will to finish it :P) but finaly here and I hope it will be enjoyable. Would be nice to hear any opionions.

PS. There are some graphics errors in few places, that I couldn't fix. :/

eralp's edit: updated the links.

Just played through it :) Level design was a bit weak in places and the texturing got a bit repetetive - it was also a bit too quiet. However I definitly liked it, the story was interesting and it did manage to scare me a few times. I especially liked grabbing the first key and seeing a ghostly figure in the main hallway, a very spooky touch. What sound there was did add to the atmosphere however I think more sounds could of made it much better :)

Thanks :D
"It was bit quiet" - theres a big chance you missed few things, like secret rooms or things that happen "in blink of eye" (thats how you say it? :P) I think 70% of things can be missed.

Pretty okay & entertaining. I guess the overall structure is full of potential but there were too little details. Also the texturing is way too repetitive and there was hardly any trimwork. I enjoyed the gameplay - got lost a few times but I liked all the neat ideas you had thrown in.
