Hey I just started Episode 2 yesterday.  AWESOME GAME!  It's obvious that they enhanced the engine.  Episode 1 was like a CBP, and this is like a new game.  My framerate does drop a bit in a few spots, which is kind of disturbing considering that I have a new computer, but it's awesome nontheless.

I agree with that, The first episode was shit compared to the 2nd. Now all we need you to do is play Portal so you can get the idea to put a Portal gun into Duke :D oh and dont forget the cake.

I was talking with Bob Avril a few weeks ago and he said the same thing.  He had this idea that you could use view screen sprites as part of the effect, and I think he may be right.  Cake?  Nevermind.

I was thinking the same thing when I posted that message, But then I thought they were hardcoded and not much could be changed/done with them?

There were shots a while back on 3dr from some mod that had an on-screen camera on the bottom right, but I forgot where it was from.

I remember Lameduke having a really smoothly updating version of the camera view, so it should be possible if someone recodes that effect into EDuke32. In any case, it'd be awesome. :D

There's code on the Eduke site to put a camera on the screen, but it can't be used to make portals.
