DukePlus 2.06 Released

* Objects held by the player no longer jitter when the player moves.
* Improved jib system (mostly imported from WGR2).  Still need high-res replacements for blood pools.
* When Advanced AI is used, Battlelords drop their weapons, which can be used by the player. 
   Still need modeled versions of battlelord  minigun and slain battlelord with no weapon.
* When Advanced AI is used, land bound monsters will avoid water (using code from WGR2).
* Duke grunts when jumping (from WGR2)
* New jetpack control (double jump to thrust) is now optional (toggle in the player abilities menu).
* The DP shotguns have smaller muzzle flashes.

I plan a larger update early next year which will get Duke Plus ready for a couple of upcoming episodes (Duke Nukem Eternity, The Imperium).

I just released Duke Plus version 2.07. It's a big update, with stuff for both players and mappers to have fun with. Go to the site if you want to see the changelog or download it.

Duke´s Skycar can´t be used, when i press space Duke says Rocken (maybe he means ¨broken¨?) and he stands over the ship with the mighty foot as weapon. I tried to play DPCB in polymer (it doesn´t run bad with 8bits art, the lag problem seems to come from that heavy polymer hrp)

Well i´ve studied the reloading problem and here are my results, they´re less worrying than i made them look but i swear they turn annoying during firefights.

Mossberg situation: you shoot the whole round and the reload animation starts to put cases one by one. If you press the fire button before the reload is done, the weapon shoots and you have the cases that were put before shooting (because you couldnt wait for the whole reload) Until that everything is perfect. BUT IF instead of pressing fire you try to switch to another weapon NOTHING stops the reload animation until it´s fully done, when it should work exactly as when pressing fire.

Akimbo pistols situation: the reload starts and you can´t fire (of course) but if you want to switch to another weapon nothing stops the reload animation, and even worse, if you pressed the other weapon key more than once, the akimbo pistols will move up and down as many times as you pressed that key.

As for the MP5: The reload system works flawlessly but there is a delay after duke takes the empty cartridge and before he puts the full one. While this delay the weapon is just ¨still¨ and that gave me the impression of another issue.

Also, i would add some empty weapon sound when it´s out of ammo to not make it confusing.


Ah, for the karate kicks key combination i thought about this:

A little power bar (similar to the karate kick energy) but in order to make the karate kick enable only when you hold the quick kick button enough time to reach it´s completion. It should not last more than half a second maybe. But that way one could hit in short intervals the quick kick button in order to kill slimes while walking.

Strange, but I can make it switch weapons any time during the reload.  I tried what you said but I could switch with no problems.
