Well some places still look blocky to me, which was the main look of HL1 overall. I dunno, they should stuff the rooms a little bit more or add original designs in some places, so far it looks like they are using HL1 as an exact blueprint.

Yes, it looks much better than HL1, but that isn't my point.

I can see what DavoX means. Some shots do look really awsome (Like Lambda and the Dam) but others showing the more dull locations aren't really interesting (and some shots like the labs look too sparse)

Having said that I'd still play it the second it's done (and I'm sure even people who hate this mod will as well) :3

They can't charge for it (nor do they want to). They're using material that's copyrighted. The very least that will happen is (and this is a longshot) Valve will hire the team and sell it themselves.

They've done it before in the past, multiple times, so it's not that much of a "long shot". Just a reason to praise Valve into the air, I guess, at least they don't let talent pass unnoticed. Wish more companies were like them in that regard! ;)

It won't happen since so many people have put stuff into it that it'd be a nightmare to sort it all out.

Perhaps so but I think Valve will end up hiring some people of that team (or maybe they'll have the balls to even start their own game company but I kinda doubt that)

The thing about that is we don't know how well the team are working behind the scenes. I don't mean the volume of content they produce, I mean how well they get on in the team dynamic. It could be well organised like a good company or it could be a complete clusterfuck where somebody has an ego-trip and treats everyone like slaves or something. It'll be an interesting read if they release the development history of it at least.
