Classic Doom
« on: June 14, 2004, 04:12:05 AM »
Heh, this thread has been dead for sometime... Anyway, I've been mapping a lot lately, (10 finished maps out of 32).  I rebuilt some doom original levels (entirely from scratch). This is a remake of a Final Doom map. (System control, one of my fav.) There are some new areas too.

What editors do you use?  I may take that up.

Also, what's with that new Doom 1 & 2 re-release?  Do they work in XP?

Thanks,

I'm using Doom Builder, greatest editor you can ever get.

I don't know anything about these re-releases.

I think id software re-released Doom 1 & 2 (presumably playable in XP) with a Doom 3 trailer.  Not sure... gotta look at the case again.

There's "the collector's edition" for PC and the original 2 games are also included with one of the console versions of Doom 3.

While we're necroing, I still dig up my collectors edition. Although there are usually a few years inbetween sessions. The old soldier never dies.
