Terrible episode. And by terrible I mean awesome (lololol)

Things I remember the most are that train level obviously and also how the player was dumped in a monster-infested hotel without much weapons (think that was the first map). I had to shoot PigCops and Enforcers and hope they'd drop a weapon for me which thankfully they did :D Was very tense and done well.

This thread should be moved to Map of the Week.  At first I thought it was something Meth was working on, because he didn't say anything.

Agreed.  I also wonder why someone would post a thread about an old ass episode.

Not a map.

Not an important distinction.

That was uncalled for, why did you post screenshots without saying anything about what it was? you didn't even provide a download link.

For those who want to play it. www.williamgeegallery.com/TCS/TFC.zip
Its an OLD episode with all original duke stuff used.

If someone can find the txt I will add it to the zip.

It's old, but it's a really good one so you should try it if you haven't already.

The episode starts at the weakest with the first map and its lack of shading and details, but ends up with some of the best shit ever made in Duke, like the best train map.
The Theme Park map is also a bit weak due to some random looking texture choices, but condisering that they worked with 1.3D textures only, the fact that they made this kind of theme park is already remarkable. However I like the progression in this map, the way it's completly unlinear (you have to collect 3 cards and use the 3 of them all at once). Progession and overall level design is definitly the best thing in this episode, it's always very well thought and it's something a lot of mappers should take inspiration from instead of putting the same old key hunting or the horrible hidden buttons tracking. I don't really want to spoil it though, but check the 2nd map, the navy map and the depth of the temple, you'll see what I mean.

The only really bad thing in this episode is some of enemy placement being way too unfair and random.

But overall it is of very high quality and it remains an underrated episode that EVERYBODY, especially mappers for inspirations, should play or replay.

I thought DT might like the theme park level, or at least for ideas, just remembered he wanted the old "DEAD" DPCBP to be a theme park. I think its level 4.

Yeah, I'll check it out.  After I do my promised DP update, work some more on WGR2, and all the other things I've promised to do. :(
