Sonic 3D
« on: June 13, 2009, 05:33:40 PM »

Okay guys, here is just small demo version of my Sonic game.

download:

http://rapidshare.com/files/244050821/demo.rar

40 mb

This is actually the whole game, and you don't need your own duke nukem 3d to run it. All content is already included. All Duke 3d stuff (code, art, sounds) were deleted and replaced by my own. Hacked version (yes, hacked) of Eduke 32 port is included

This game was fully builded for 32 bit mode with models.

Read the manual before playing.
Hope it will work fine. If not, please contact me.

EDIT This is just demo version, that's why i don't want to open a thread in Duke Nukem releases.

Edit 2: Download the 2010 demo here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/sonic-the-hedgehog-3d

You don't think this is good enough for the releases thread, yet its one of the best TC'S ever made, at least its the best 32bit TC released IMO. I just want to keep playing all day.

I uploaded it so you don't need rapidcrap.

Your levels are truly awesome Eddy, love every bloody thing you did with it, and I cant wait for the final version!

I'm sure TX will give you some space on Duke4.net for this mod if you don't want to keep using rapidshare.

Just played it - it took a while to get used to the controls, but it was lots of fun! I had some really strange slow-down just before the underwater area (and just after it until I stepped into the teleporter) Only weird thing was the music (and you should of used the Sonic and Knuckles music when you pick up the invulnerible powerup!)

my score was 42300 :3 I think this screen should change depending on the score you got (so Sonic runs faster if you get a higher score - it might already do that though, I only played it once) I also laughed at the little text bubble that appears near sonic if you stand around too long.

Way cool, I'll be sure to check this out sometime soon. :) So you don't want this to be added to the Releases list (that I reaaally need to update with Chronic Level 2 and that Tribute to Action map)?

Absolutely fantastic!

This demo made me feel like a kid again!

I thought the controls were great.

Notes:
-I really didn't like to hear the characters talk. It just goes against everything that's sacred.
-Like James, I'd have preferred to hear the invulnerability music from Sonic & Knuckles instead of Sonic 2 (the same goes to some other Sonic 2 music/sound as well).
-The biggest problem is that you cannot make a spin dash while walking/running. You should make it so that simply pressing crouch as you walk/run makes you spin like in every Sonic game since the first Genesis game. This way you can just walk toward enemies and make a spin.
-A bit too easy maybe, I didn't die once and wasn't even close actually plus I had nine lives left when the demo ended.

Yeah, this is one of my biggiest problems. I just dunno how to make it. It need a very hard code.

What exactly is the problem?  Maybe I could help you with it.

I have not downloaded it yet because I'm busy preparing a DP release today, but it looks fantastic.
