I followed the same instructions I got in the Original Duke source, since I couldn't find any special notes for compiling the Eduke source.

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention I'm using Open Watcom V1.0 ;)

It's supposed to have errors. As long as the file is produced it's alright.

It's supposed to have Warnings, not Errors.

I was able to compile it with the command line compiler (wmake) with no errors.  I'm having trouble with the cd protection though.  It continually tells me the cd isn't in the drive, when it is.  I tried just copying duke3d.idf onto my hard drive, but it stalled at 75 percent.   When I cleaned the disk, I got it to go to 99 percent.  I want to get some binaries up on the rtcm eduke page, but if I can't run the damn thing to test it.

Somebody test this and tell me if it works for them.

Probably - either way it's more involved than that as I discovered last night.

I just tried to compile the EDuke source, also. Got the exact same errors in Open Watcom.

Sounds like you're not using the duke3d.h file from the EDuke release.

I'll try that, then.

[Edit: I checked Open Watcom after opening the project file to see what source files were included in the make... duke3d.h was one of them. Check next post...]

Hate to bring up such an old topic but does anybody know a remedy for mine & Blaster's problem? I can compile the Duke source fine, but this just gives me a lost of errors. I'm using Open Watcom's IDE.

Ah - got it to compile fine with the Command line compiler. Only problem is that I don't know how to stop it from needing the CD (Sorry if it's obvious but I'm completly code illiterate)
