Bethesda General
Revenant:
Anyone else into the Bethesda line of games? I played through Fallout 3 a couple of times and decided to check out Oblivion. The game looks dated in its vanilla un-modded condition, but with the right graphics mods, it looks pretty damn good:

Watch in 720p.
Its like World of Warcraft without the 14 year olds and angry 300 pound neckbeards ruining your immersion with their leetspeak.
HUGE game world and lots of dungeons and quests. Worth killing time with while waiting for Skyrim!

Bethesda? I've never heard of them.
More seriously, I enjoyed Fallout 3 and Morrowind but thought Oblivion was complete garbage (and yes, I gave it multiple chances, played several hours of it, but it just sucks IMO)
I'm looking forward to Skyrim though, even if I won't get it at launch.

I have an aversion toward games with elves, goblins, furries, wizards etc.
But Oblivion has always looked good. Even though I have zero interest in the game itself, I used to consider buying it simply for its graphics. Never did.

I agree about Furries, but elves, goblins, wizards, dragons and all the rest are ok. What I don't like is when a fantasy franchise sticks too closely to the Tolkien mold.
Loke:
Oh, yes. Oblivion is one of my favorite RPG of all time; spent over hundreds of hours with multiple characters. Can't wait for Skyrim. Never got into Fallout 3 though.
